«Las matrices utilizadas para la estampación de los grabados han sido y suelen ser destruidas o custodiadas por los talleres donde se editan, impidiéndose así su posible reproducción posterior. Una vez finalizada la edición de los grabados del libro Sibil•la, he troquelado industrialmente las matrices de cobre, mediante dibujos vectorizados, liberándolas así de su función notarial al convertirlas en obras únicas, no reproducibles, generadoras de nuevas imágenes en nuestra mente, aquellas que producen su imposible estampación.«

«The plates used for printing the engravings have been and are frequently destroyed or kept by the workshops where they are produced, thereby preventing possible later replication. Once the final edition of the engravings for the book Sibil•la was completed, I industrially stamped the copper plates, using vectorized drawings, thus freeing them from their notational function and turning them into unique, irreproducible artworks, capable of generating new mental images, those produced by their impossible printing.»
